Carla decides she wants some advice from a woman, who better to ask than Sally?

"Hey Sal, can we talk?" Carla asks, with a hush in her voice.
"Sure honey, what's a matter?"
"You've heard right about what's going on?"
Sally turns to her and smiles warmly, "Honey I hear EVERYTHING."
"Okay, so what does this all mean? What do I do?"
Sally pauses a long moment before clearing her throat. "Don't get emotionally attached to either of these men, sexually go ahead but emotionally don't get attached. Neither of these men know what love really is, they have a distorted reality and usually it's full of lies and deceit."
"But why is Hayden suddenly being nice to me? We fought from day one." Carla curls in her lip, with frustration.
"Sweetheart can't you see it? Hayden may hate you but what he hates more is seeing a happy couple of folks, that take the attention off him. He sees Joey helping you cope with his evil ways and Hayden doesn't want to let his power go that easy."
"I see. So you don't think he actually likes me?"
"Oh honey, no way." She laughs, "no offense to you."
"None taken."
"Do you know why Hayden's in the asylum?" Sally asks, clearing her throat again.
"No." You admitted, you hadn't taken the time to figure anybody out. You just got here and found everybody hard to read.
"Well Hayden fell in love with the Mayor's daughter, he was head over heels and he grew over-come with a stalker behaviour, he would follow her and sit outside the mansion waiting for her. She called the police, he screamed and threatened to get his revenge on her and her family."
"Oh Jesus..." Carla covered her mouth.
"So, the likelihood of him loving another is slim to none sweets and might I say....you're lucky if he stays that way."
"And what do I do about Joey?"
"He's here in the asylum cause he caught his wife in bed with his brother, causing him to strangle his brother to death right then and there." Sally explained.
"Oh no, poor Joey."
"That's what I said, the poor sap didn't deserve it. I can tell he's a good lad but his ability to trust a woman is ruined and if you find he only wants to use you sexually, that's just who he is."
"I see....."
"So if you just wanna hump and dump, as the kids say...go for it, they are emotionally detached from their sexual beings but just don't fall for them......I REPEAT DON'T FALL FOR THEM."
"I appreciate all your help Sally." She bowed her head.
"Come to me any time honey, I will be here."
"Thanks a lot." Carla goes to turn away, "wait!"
"What is it?"
"Why are you here?"
Sally took a long pause,"That's a story for another time."
