Carla goes up to bed and Hayden takes this time to chat a bit with Petal.

"What?" She asks, shoveling food in her mouth.
"You two were talking about what happened with Joey earlier, weren't you? Girly gossip?"
"What's it to ya?"
"I'm just curious, did they fuck?"
"Again...what's it to ya? You wanna fuck her instead?"
"No, I'm just curious."
"No they didn't do it."
Hayden's shoulders loosened up, "no?"
"No." She said sincerely.
"I believe you."
"Good, I may not like you much but I'm no liar. If I wasn't gunna tell the truth, I would've said nothing. Then the silence would've given it away anyway, wouldn't it?"
"Touche."
"So, do you like her? Do you hate her? What's in that twisted brain of yours Hayden?" Petal asks.
"You'd be in danger if you ever found out."
She held her face, "Oh no! I'm so scared!" She bursted into laughter.
His tone was cold and stern, "I'm being serious."
