Morning comes and it's time for breakfast.

"Good morning sweetheart, here's a bowl of cereal." Troy says, placing the bowl of dry Froot Loops down in front of Kira.
"Thank you!"
"Aw lovely! You're learning your manners quick I appreciate it."
He takes a seat with her at the table, about to dig into his own breakfast.
"Hey Kira?"
"Ya?"
"I'm sorry for your mother's actions yesterday, things have been hard on us all and I might just be making excuses but I still love her, deep down somewhere. So I'm sorry again, I don't know what got into her this time, or any time for that matter." Troy explains.
Kira let's out a series of squeals, digging into her cereal and getting them all over the table. "Here daddy!" She reaches out her hand, giving him a few pieces of her cereal.
"Thank you sweetheart," He laughs, eating them. "Delicious."
"Delicious!" She repeats, clapping her hands.
He sighs deeply, conflicted in his feelings.
