Mom's Gone Crazy #114: Not All That Supportive.

Naomi and Kira play a game of chess, while mom is on the computer.

"So mom I have great news!" Kira says, waiting for Naomi to take her turn.

"Oh what is it sweetie?" She asks, typing away at her keyboard.

"I gave a promise ring to Tiana." 

"Oh...you did?" Anne asked. She tried to sound happier for her, she really tried. She curled in her lips and forced a smile.

"Ya, I'm so happy with her and I wanted to promise her our future."

"Oh, that's.......great. Congrats dear." She groans.

"I'm happy for her too." Naomi laughs, finally making a move on the board.

"Thanks guys." Kira quickly takes her turn, "I'll be back, I gotta go to the bathroom."

"Sure, I'll wait for you." 

"Knowing you, you'll need all the time you can get!" She laughs.

"Shut up!"

Kira leaves the room, so Anne and Naomi are now alone.

Naomi gets up from her seat and approaches the desk, "you don't seem all that happy for her mom, what gives?"

"No, I am." She shrugs, smiling weirdly.

"Mom....what is it?"

"I think she's rushing."

"Is that it?" Naomi asks, raising a brow.

"I'm also a bit sad that my love life died in a ditch."

"Oh, you're jealous...?"

Anne sighs, "I guess so."
