Asylum Challenge #168: The Bad News.

Joey and Carla get together to talk.

"Did you happen to talk to Hayden?" She asks, taking a seat on the bed.

"I did all the talking and since he got out he hasn't said a word to me."

"Ya he hasn't said a word to me either."

"Though Petal has done a lot......she confessed she has a crush on him and then they fucked." Carla blurted out.

"No....she didn't?!" Joey asked, wide eyed.

"Yup...." She sighs.

"They are both so much pressure and stress upon us." 

"I know and I hate it."

"How about we unwind?" He purrs, pulling her in for a passionate kiss.

"What if someone sees us?!" Carla asks, kneeling down.

"It's fine, I'm sure its fine. Just Sally and Darwin are looking." He hums, looking in the window.

Darwin waves and he waves back.

"Oh god, I'm so embarrassed." She whines.

After their fun, it hits Carla that she didn't take her birth control that evening, she had forgotten to.

With no interaction with anybody she rushes upstairs to the bathroom with a pregnancy test tucked away against her.

Carla's face loses all the colour it held, she felt a chill along her spine. "No...." She whispered.

Her head started to spin, "I have to tell Joey."

She gets up from the toilet, wrapping the test in toilet paper and burying it in in the trash.

Joey knocks on the door, "you've been in there a while sweetheart, I gotta pee."

"We....we need to talk." Her voice shakes.

"Okay, I'll meet you out here." He says nervously through the closed door.

The two of them meet in one of the rooms, she sits down and her face is soaked with tears.

"What's wrong?!" Joey asks panicked, going to hold her.

"Don't." She holds out her hand, "I don't...."

"Talk to me? Did I do something wrong?!"

"I'm pregnant." 

The words rang through Joey's head like a loud bell, he stood there expressionless. "You're....pregnant?!"

"Yes I must've forgotten to take my pill last night...." She says, still crying.

"Okay...okay....okay......we have to keep this a secret from everybody, even Petal. You have to tell the Warden though."

"I don't wanna lose my baby." 

"You can't keep it from the Warden but you have to hide it from everyone else. It'll be our secret." He says calmly.

"Wait, why can't I tell Petal?" She asks curling in her lips and wiping her face.

"She's fucking with Hayden now, she cannot be trusted."

"Do you really believe that she can't?"

He sighs, "Yes, sadly so."

"But she's my best friend."

"Sometimes you can't even disclose things to your best friend."

She nods her head, it's painful for her to imagine losing her baby but she knows he's right. "I'll go change my clothes."

He leans down and kisses her on the head. "I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too."
