Kira was in the middle of being potty trained before Troy answered the door.

"Wait out here a minute." Troy says holding up his hand.
"Okay." Anne says sighing.
The door closes and she heads down the stairs, pacing back and forth upon the sidewalk.
Troy goes into the house and when Kira is finished on the potty he guides her outside. "Hey look who it is, it's mommy." He beams, looking down at her.
"Mommy!" Kira waddles across the porch and down the steps, with her arms wide open.
"Hello sweetheart." Anne smiles, with her face still damp with tears. She picks her daughter up and they embrace.
Anne never wanted to let go and Kira would have let her hold on forever.
"I love you mommy."
Anne begins crying again, "I love you too."
"It's time for bed." Troy says, clearing his throat.
"You want mommy to put you to bed sweetheart?" Anne asks, brushing hair from her face.
"Yes please!" She giggled, hugging her once more.
Anne takes her daughter into the house and to her bedroom, she sits her on the bed and helps her get under the covers. "Keep nice and cozy warm."
She tucks her in and gives her a kiss.
"Goodnight Kira, I love you." She whispered, dripping a tear onto her daughter's head.
"Goodnight mommy, I love you too."
Anne stands there a moment, overwhelmed with emotions; watching her drift off to sleep.
