Mom's Gone Crazy #67: I Hope.

Anne calls up Dominic and they hit the hookah lounge.

---------------------------------

"Thanks for coming out with me." Anne beams, taking a seat with Dominic around the hookah.

"No problem, I'm always here if you need me."

"Thanks, I truly appreciate you."

"I appreciate you too Anne." Dominic said, smiling.

They sit a few hours around the hookah, just laughing and talking about whatever.

Anne was beginning to unwind, getting higher than a kite. "W-wait before I drift away, we should talk about something bothering me."

"Go ahead." He coughed, "what's up?"

"I'm worried about my daughters, I know they are both struggling and I just want them to lead better lives than I did."

"I'm sure they will, they are only 18 after all."

"I know but age has nothing to do with your life falling apart."

"All you can do is wait and see, wait and hope and wait and pray." He says, rubbing her knee.

She sighs deeply, "I guess you're right."

"It's normal for a parent to worry but everything happens when it's supposed to."

"I just don't want them to suffer and struggle like I did."

"Sadly we can't control that, or control it as much as we would like. I know we want them to live happy and harmless lives, where they feel no pain but that's not realistic is it?"

"No," Anne sighs again, "I suppose it's not."

"Just let life take it's course." He leans over and kisses her on the cheek.
